Far East, Primorye | Bastak (Jewish Autonomous Region)

The reserve is situated on the south-eastern spurs of Bureinskiy ridge. Cedar, spruce and oak forests are home to roe, Siberian weasel, chipmunk, Manchurian deer, sable, wild boar, brown and Himalayan bear; as well as to golden eagle, black crane, honey buzzard and Far east stork.

Khinganskiy reserve is situated on the spurs of Maliy Khingan ridge. It’s home to bear, raccoon dog, shrub hare, otter, American mink. The mountains are inhabited by chipmunk, brown bear, wolf, fox, sable and elk and by some Ungulates: roe, Manchurian deer, and wild boar. There are populations of black and Japanese crane listed in the Red book.
